Firman's tribute to Indonesian fans

Indonesia skipper Firman Utina has expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian fans for inspiring them to the AFF Suzuki Cup final.
Firman's side beat Philippines 2-0 over two legs in the semi-finals to progress into the final where they will meet Malaysia.
Speaking after the victory at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, the 29-year-old midfielder took time to thank the fans for their unwavering support throughout the tournament,
"First of all, I want to thank the people of Indonesia for their tremendous support in this tournament. It has provided us with the inspiration that has helped us to reach the final," said Firman on affsuzukicup.com.
"Our aim is always to play our best for our team and for our nation. We are all in good physical shape and we are well prepared for the tournament although- there are some weaknesses that we must overcome before the next game."
But despite his gratitude to the fans, he admitted the noise generated in the stadium has at times been a communication barrier for the team.
"Some of our mistakes came out as a result of a lack of concentration that was caused by the overwhelming noise in the stadium," he said.
"Because the crowd was so loud, there were times in the match when we couldn't communicate properly."
The final will be held over two legs on 26 December and 29 December.
